Description
This Venison Ground & Steak Chili is made of ground venison, venison steak, poblanos, jalapenos, white onion,, seasonings, and chili beans.
Ingredients:
- Chili Ingredients
2 lb. ground venison
1 lb. venison steak
Freshly ground salt & pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 poblano, diced
2 jalapenos, diced
1 white onion, diced
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. cumin
1 tsp. oregano
3 tbsp. chipotle in adobe
2 16 oz. cans chili beans, diced
16 oz. diced tomato
28 oz. tomato sauce
Add-ons
Elbow macaroni, cooked
Vegan cheddar shreds
Diced jalapenos
Directions
1. In a large skillet, add ground venison, season with freshly ground salt and pepper, cook until mostly done, and transfer to crockpot.
2. In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp. olive oil, diced poblano, jalapeno, and white onion. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Transfer mixture to crockpot.
3. Dice the steak into small pieces and add to crockpot.
4. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, diced chipotle in adobe, diced tomato, and tomato sauce.
5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
6. About 30 minutes before the chili is done, start boiling water and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions.
7. Serve the chili over noodles and top with vegan cheddar cheese and diced jalapenos.
