Description

Homemade sweet chili sauce is easy to make, flavorful, and a versatile dipping sauce. It is sweet, tangy, and spicy. Great with wontons, spring rolls, or egg rolls

Ingredients:

    1 cup water
    3/4 cup white sugar
    1 tbsp. garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. salt.
    1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
    3/4 cups white vinegar
    1 1/2 tbsp. water
    1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, vinegar, salt, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Stir until combined. Turn on heat and let boil for 6 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 tbsp. water and cornstarch. Mix until combined. Pour into chili sauce mixture while stirring.
3. Cook on medium heat for another 5-8 minutes to thicken the sauce.
