Description

Beef Stroganoff is a classic Russian dish made of sautéed beef, mushrooms, and onions served in a creamy sauce over noodles.

Ingredients:

    2.5 lbs. sirloin strip steak
    8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
    2 white onions, sliced
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    2 cups beef broth
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 cup vegan sour cream
    3 cups noodles

Directions

1. Cut the beef across the grain into about 1 1/2 x 1/2 inch strips.. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add sliced mushrooms, sliced onions, and minced garlic. Cook for 5-10 minutes until onions are tender.
3. Add flour and cook for another 2 minutes. Slowly stir in beef broth. Stir to combine.
4. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beef. Bring to boil then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Stir in vegan sour cream; heat but do not boil.
6. Serve over noodles.

    • Substitute noodles with whole wheat noodles.
